XLVets Farm

Working together for a healthier future

Current vacancies at XLVet practices

  • Mixed Veterinary Surgeon at Dunmuir Veterinary Group, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway

Are you a genuine all-round vet who loves the countryside, good clientele and great craic? If yes, then this is the practice for you! We are looking for an enthusiastic vet to join our very friendly team. At Dunmuir, our kettle is never cold, we love cake, and you can bring your dog to work with you. We are based in the rural town of Castle Douglas amongst the rolling Galloway Hills, so if countryside is your thing, we have it covered!
Successful candidates will join a dedicated and supportive team of four vets and six support staff, serving an excellent clientele. The post would ideally suit someone with experience; however, full mentoring and support would be offered, including the XLVets Graduate Programme to a new graduate.
We are a truly mixed practice that tries to do it all. Begin your day scanning cows, nip back to spay a cat and finish your day at 5pm clipping a dog's nails. We are well kitted out for all aspects of large and small animal work, plus offer a range of perks including a CPD allowance, RCVS, BVA and BVS memberships.
We would love you to come and chat to us over a cake and coffee, then we will show you around. We will pay for you to get here and hope you think it is worthwhile.
For more information, please contact Terry-Ann Cinderby (Practice Manager) at terry-ann@dunmuir-vets.co.uk. We look forward to hearing from you
