  • Experienced Farm Vet at Belmont Farm & Equine Vets, Hereford, Herefordshire

    We have an opportunity for a full-time experienced farm vet with a dairy focus within our team of 17 vets and 9 TB testers. Working across Herefordshire and the surrounding counties with deep links in the community. Aspiring to deliver first-class proactive veterinary care to our diverse client base including dairy, beef, sheep and milking goat units.  Our supportive, sociable team encourages individual personal development and includes DBR, certificate holders and RVC production animal interns.
    The Role:
    Delivering high level clinical service and fostering strong client relationships.
    No routine TB testing.
    Culture of ongoing individual development, with further qualifications actively encouraged.
    Supportive, friendly team ethos, with regular socials.
    Designated health planning support team to facilitate informed monitoring and review.
    5 day week (1 nominated day off/fortnight) and 1:5 on call.
    Independent XL vets practice with clear career structure for vets and opportunity to progress further.

  • Farm Animal Vet at Paragon Vets, Dalston, Cumbria

    We have a further opportunity for a farm animal vet to join our expanding team. We are part of a 4 centre multidisciplinary independent practice, with 16 farm vets including multiple certificate and diploma holders. 
    Based in North Cumbria, the Lake District National Park is on our doorstep and there is plenty of opportunity to explore what this beautiful area has to offer. We promote a good work life balance with currently a 1 in 7 OOH rota, 4.5 working week as standard, time in lieu for overtime (when not on call) and 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays. 
    We are a friendly and supportive team, with a low staff turnover, which values the importance of job satisfaction. We work closely with our progressive clients who are proactive and motivated. We have a strong dairy client base, as well as servicing progressive beef and sheep farms, including active flock health and calf health clubs. We encourage vets to pursue their own specific areas of interest, of which there are plenty of options. 
    We provide a high standard of service to our clients through proactive health planning utilising all the usual tools and software plus abdominal laparoscopic surgery, VetTech services including in house foot trimmer, farmer training, an advanced breeding department in addition to providing overseas farm consultancy. CPD is strongly encouraged as are specialist interests and further qualifications - all supported by certificate and diploma holders. 
    Ideally we are looking for an experienced clinician but all applications are welcome.
